The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 293

Iron Pot
December 31st 1882
My dear Grandma

I was very glad to hear that you liked my letter and hope to be able to write better soon. But we have been in such a mess lately that I have not been able to say any lessons. There has been a great many officers here lately from the Man of War "Nelson" and they had tea with us and they got some fish and are to come again. Our house is greatly improved and Annie has such a nice room. I hope you spent a pleasant Christmas. We were very much pleased with the nice presents in the box and Papa is going to send some more Jam. So with love from Mamma brothers and sisters I remain dear Grandma your affect grandson
