The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 220

Hobartown,
Oct 4th 1875
My dear Mother,

I received your kind letter enclosing one from Cousin Walter and also a note from Kate. You must not expect a long letter this time as I am only up for a few days and have to fly about after many things. You will have heard that Chris is well by this time and also the youngster and we are going back the day after tomorrow. The other children have got colds but I hope will soon be better. I will write to Walter next mail as I am so hurried at present.

I also received 4 papers and am glad to hear that the 12th passed off so quietly. If possible we will get the childrens likenesses taken and send them next mail. The baby is a fine healthy child and has such large eyes. Well you must excuse this short scribble this time and will make up for it next and believe me ever yours affect son.

J C Parkinson

I hope you will get over the winter safely. Love to all.
