The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 100

Falmouth
June 24th 1862
Dear Mother,

I am very glad to be able to tell you that we are all bound for London as I was afraid that we would have had to go to the Continent.

I will stop at ‘Green’s Sailor’s Home’ where you can direct you letter. We expect to arrive there about Saturday and I suppose we will be payed off the beginning of next week. I will send my money by order on the Belfast Bank. I shall have to get some good clothes to go home in but I think I will leave my chest in the Home as I intend to go back to London as the ships are better and I can get to the Colony easier. Did you send my clothes to L’Pool to Mrs Montgomery.

excuse haste,

Yours,

James C. Parkinson.
