The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 68

My dear James. ( 0 )

We hope you have been quite well since we last heard from you. It is along time since we had a letter but we are expecting one very soon. I suppose Mamma had told you the news about Killough. We expect to see Joe Surch down here next week. Miss Lascelles is to spend Christmas here with us, so that will be very pleasant for her. I had a letter from Kate Rogan since she went to Cincinnati and they like Cincinnati very well. Mrs Rogan’s rheumatism is quite since she went there. I hope you like Sydney John M…’s oldest daughter Susan was married to a ship carpenter named Stewart and they are gone to Melbourne, her brother Hugh went there in Spring. Have you met with any Killough people yet. Dr Aicken is gone to Edinburgh for a few days. Mrs Aicken is as usual and Hannie and Willie are quite well. Mary and Sarah are still with us. We all like this place very well and intend going to Killough in summer. All unite with me in the kindest love to you. I remain dear James ever your affectionate sister.

B. Parkinson (Still).
