We thought we would have received a letter from you before this but hope you are quite well. I suppose you got the letter with the announcement of our dear kind Grandma’s death. I wish you had been here. We are all living in Belfast now but we have not sold the house in Killough which I am very glad of. We heard yesterday that Barkley Johnston is dead in the island of Jersey and also young Mat Gordon of cholera in …. Dear James I hope we will soon see you. The Surches are quite well. Miss B… is rather . Mrs Nelson is dead also.
