The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 58

Birkenhead
September 3 1853
Dear Grandma

Cath promised to write to me

I take this opportunity of writing as I know you will be uneasy if I do not. I hope you will be much better as I heard you have not been well in by a letter from Mamma.

I like this side of the river a great deal better than Liverpool as it is higher and the air purer. The vessel will be here 2 or 3 weeks yet. Excuse haste. Give my love to all and believe me yours affect

J C Parkinson
