The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 50

20th
My dear Anne, (Mrs Parkinson)

Mrs Scott called the day before yesterday to shew us a letter from James and his wife. He says your James is very well. It is dated from Batavia the 22nd of November. They were taking in sugar and rice for Amsterdam. They expect to come to London or Liverpool to take passengers to Australia. I would be glad if you or one of the girls would write and let me know how your mother is. Did you get all settled with Mr Gracey. He is in Scotland, he sent all his books to Belfast and had them sold there by auction.

Sally has had a bilious attack but she is now a great deal better. She was over with us and Ann in her place says she will go back tomorrow. Mr Henry is very poorly and almost constantly dozing. All here are well and join me in love to you and all you circle.

I remain your sincere and attached friend,

Debby Fforde
