The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 43

Dear Grandma,

Mamma wishes me to let you know the reason of our stay as she does not know whether the letter she sent by the coach arrived safe or not. I am going with Capt. Scott to Bombay and am greatly pleased as he is a very nice person, and intend getting myself home on Tuesday and as the time is so short Dr Aicken asked mamma and myself to stop with him until then so that you must not be uneasy. I saw Dada and all my friends in Armagh said he thought it better to go up in the gig to Ravensdale as it is the least expensive but I shall inform you all about it when I return. You need not say who I go with.

Yours,

Js. Parkinson
