The James Cumine Parkinson Letters |
Letter 36Ravensdale, 12/10/51 My dear James, We heard by your and Fancy’s?? letters what you are doing next week. I am very glad that there was no letter till you went home. We were at Ballymascanlon to-day and they have got a serephine which is a small kind of organ. Mrs Coddington played it and Mr Love and all got on very well. Lady Louise and Mr Fortescue were there and Mr Hamilton and another lady. Lady L sat in Mr Warren’s seat that is where the organ is. Mrs Lindsay went to Newry the other day and went on to Mourne as she heard Bessie Moore was worse. Please tell Maria and Fanny I intend writing soon and Dada and Maria unite with me in love to Grandma, Mamma, Aunt and all and wishing you a safe and successful voyage. I am my dear James, ever your affect sister, Bessie Parkinson |
