The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 35

Ravensdale,
October 12th 1851

Excuse haste I wish I could send a kiss for you all

My dearest James,

We were glad to hear from you this morning and that you are all well. We were in church this morning and saw the organ and Mrs Coddington played it and it has a very nice sound but it is small. Dada forgot to say in his note that he wishes you to write from Liverpool to know how you got there and when the vessel is to sail. Dada is getting the place repaired. He has had two men last week. I hope you will soon write to us. Please tell Mamma we did not see her spectacles but will look for them now. I have no more news as it is near church time. I am my dear James ever your loving sister.

Maria Parkinson
