The James Cumine Parkinson Letters |
Letter 24Armagh
Dear Frances, I received your note a day or to ago and was very sorry that the large boat was sold. I felt very sorry indeed! I hope that dada will not part with the small one. Many a pleasant day I spent in her and I seemed to feel that I had lost a friend. Has Cotter taken her for his vessel or is he going to keep her as she is? Did he get masts and sails along with her. The painted stern might have been taken off. Please ask Susy did John Mc… get the hair for fishing as I told Mrs McKartan to buy him some. If not buy him 3d worth and give it to her for him please. Please tell Grandma that I got something done to the watch that cost 6s and if she could send it when convenient I could pay the person as it would impoverish me totally. I am very much obliged to you for the stamps. Please give my love to Aunt, Grandma, Bessie, Cath, Maria and Annie and believe me your affect brother. J.C.P. |
