The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 20

Armagh,
December 1

Dear Mamma,

I received yours this morning and if I were allowed to give my opinion as to your proposed journey, I would advise you not to go, if it were summer I would not think so much of it, but as at this time the weather is so uncertain, and when going back there is always such a throng on the Downpatrick coach. I only give this from my own knowledge but if you would like to come, do not let it dissuade you from it. I have got on this week very well, and hope that there will be no more cause of complaint! I suppose that I would be able to go home D.V. on next Wednesday fortnight, but would you think it right for me to stay for the ordination or not!

Please give my love to all and believe me your affect son,

James C Parkinson
