The James Cumine Parkinson Letters

Letter 16

Armagh
Oct. 26 (1848?)

ar Mamma,

I long for the time when my communications with you will not be by letter but face to face. I believe that the pleasures of home are not sufficiently prized by me, but hope to be able to enjoy the approaching vacation in more prophetable (sic) manner than ever I have done.

I have not gotten a pair of winter gloves so that I will be glad of a pair.

Do not put yourself to any inconvenience with regard to the boots. I would require them high-heeled to make me a little taller.

Give my most affectionate love to Grandma, Dada, Aunt, Brothers, Sisters etc. and believe me ever your affect

James C. Parkinson

To dada,

Mr L says that you need not send the papers until a short time before the exam and to send them by post to the Archdeacon. He will write as soon as he gets your other query answered.
