The Nannie Cinnamon and Kate Trimble Letters

Kate and Nannie Rogan lived with their parents and brothers in Palatine Square in Killough. Their father's business in a grain-store in Killough failed and they decided to emigrate America. The brothers were the first to go and went initially to Chicago. Nannine married a John Cinnamon and then emigrated to Cincinatti. Kate and the parents followed to Cincinnati where in August 1863 Kate married John Trimble, a Professor of Greek an Latin at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Over the next 60 years Nannie and Kate wrote letters back to Killough to the Parkinson-Cumine family and Miss Lucy Lascelles. These are transcriptions of the letters.
